Free And Premium WordPress Themes
WordPress Themes – Premium and Free
Here, we will discuss about the usage of themes and it’s
features on the free CMS – WordPress. Basically, there are two types of theme
we can categorise it to – Premium ones and free ones. There are plenty of free
themes available on the Official WordPress Page, which have some basic
functionalities of posting and similar, it’s limited to the usage of blog
purposes.
So, what is the major difference between a free theme and a
premium theme? Well, to discuss it let’s highlight on the points of what can a
premium theme do, which a free theme cannot?
Here, are some basic points:-
1)
Premium theme suitable for almost any niche
2)
E-commerce capabilities
3)
Very huge expandable area and a resilient nature
4)
Customizable according to user’s desires and
wishes
5)
Expands the usage of WordPress to a whole NEW
level
6)
Mixed with a compatible plugin and it can cross
the boundary of WordPress
7)
SEO – Friendly and updated with latest Google
Algorithms
To make it easier, these are some
points a free theme is not equipped with.
But why use a premium theme?
-
The answer is quite clear, as the name suggests –
premium crosses the boundary and makes the framework of WordPress a lot more
resilient, flexible, adjustable, adaptable and responsive.
-
There are LOTS of premium theme related with
almost every niche you’re looking for, whether be a business, non-profit,
directory, blog or any other subject related, don’t worry! There is surely a
compatible theme for it, OR you can always use a multi-purpose theme.
-
Premium theme can be molded according to the
user’s wishes, and since WordPress has always been a very easy framework to
work with, customers prefer the same CMS to work with.
-
New technologies like drag and drop page builder
makes it even more easier for customers to work with the theme.
Yes! Even though there are countless
advantages of Premium themes, but it surely has some drawbacks, here I will
point out some of them:-
1)
Expensive
Premium themes are very expensive, it can sometimes exceed the normal
budget a customer can hold, and they have to search for alternatives, famous
theme providers like ThemeForest, provide themes starting with $40.
2)
Some framework not easy to work with
Got to be careful with theme providers, some (well, most) of them are not
provisioned with a complete framework and they are not user friendly, so better
go with famous theme providers.
3)
Some theme providers provide incomplete theme or
theme with lots of error
4)
Difficult to adjust, design
5)
Can be complex
Since, premium theme has a LOT of functionalities, it can be sometimes
very complex a normal designer can hold and sometimes can provide (a lot of) trouble.
Let’s talk about a free theme, starting
with Twenty One – a theme that is already pre-installed into a WordPress. It
looks very clean, simple, sleek and an attractive design but has a limited
functionality. You can straightly work into it by adding posts and pages, saves
time actually.
Since, it’s so much simple, people don’t
really tend to spend time on it designing, they start looking for other themes.
Now, there’s a certain bridge between a
premium and free one – NO beginner will start with a premium theme as they are
not already familiar with the framework of WordPress, so MOST of the theme
providers provide a demo theme, to actually let the customer work with the
theme and be more familiar with and later on purchase it.
Although, in this website I provide free
premium themes, I never recommend you using it, it is only provided for
TESTING, and none of these are updatable and lacks support feature.
So, test the theme first and buy it from
the official website, note that I have attached a demo link in every post, so
don’t to forget to check it.
Thanks,
